Early Romantic guitar

Regarding the body, this instrument is a historical reproduction. However, the neck has been adapted to the technical demands of modern ways of playing. The fingerboard is glued on to the neck and soundboard which, through a higher bridge, provides a greater distance of the strings to the top . Additionally, this guitar has been fitted with a tuning mechanism. On demand I can also build this instrument completely in line with the original plan from the museum in Paris.

The plan belongs to the Grobert-Guitar (around 1800), the so-called 'Paganini-Guitar'. This instrument was signed by the artist on the soundboard on the occasion of a visit to Paris when the guitar was lent to him by Grobert. Later, the guitar was in the possession of Hector Berlioz, who also added his signature before he donated it to the Conservatoire of Paris.
